Traveling on the Edge

What is Traveling "On the Edge?"

What is traveling on the “Edge”? Basically, it is the threshold of your comfort zone–stepping outside that secure and safe space. Embracing that edge will bring new challenges and personal growth. Jack, a former Naval Aviator, has flown on the “edge of the envelope” several times. Just as a plane has its limits, so do we. By pushing the edge of the envelope, we expand our limits by leaving that comfort zone. The goal isn’t to exceed the edge but to explore the edges. For some travelers, their edge is a cruise or a group tour. But stepping outside your travel comfort zone builds more confidence, and you can then tackle new challenges–experiences never thought possible are now within your reach.

Traveling Slow & the Next Chapter

Thanks for visiting our blog!  Have you always dreamed of traveling after retirement? Why wait?  You can do both. We began our travels early on while young and full of energy, experiencing the world in one- to two-week increments. Now, 30+ years later, we aren’t as full of that youthful energy, but we are still traveling. And since we are retired, we now have both time and money to stay longer and make the most of our globetrotting adventures. You don’t have to spend a year traveling, nor see every sight, but you do need to savor the journey and focus on the quality, not the quantity.
